The Optimizer
Doesn't drink — "drinks clean." Logs the lime, never the pour.
Drinks of choice
The clearest, lowest-friction pour in the building — a neutral spirit that vanishes into something that reads as wellness. No sugar, no carbs, no color, and therefore, by a logic all her own, no consequences.
- Basically electrolytes
- Clear means clean
- Logs the lime, not the vodka
- Sunday is a recovery protocol
- The temple has a bar tab

The dossier
The Optimizer doesn’t drink. She “drinks clean,” and you’ll know within ninety seconds, because the phrase arrives early and often, delivered with the serene confidence of a person citing peer-reviewed research — which she is not. She is citing a wellness podcast, hosted by a former reality contestant and sponsored, unclocked, by a liquor brand.
The order never varies, and it is engineered: the clearest possible spirit, soda, and a small architecture of lime she will explain are “basically electrolytes.” Clear, to her, means clean — the way water and also hand sanitizer are clear. No sugar, which is true; no carbs, which is basically true; and therefore no consequences, which is not how consequences work. She logs the lime in her macro app. She does not log the pour. Sunday is a full-time recovery protocol: the electrolyte packets, the red-light mask, the cold plunge, the eleven-dollar green juice to undo the forty dollars of the night before.
The tell: the hangover is never a hangover. It’s “inflammation,” or “cortisol,” or being “so dehydrated” — as though dehydration were weather that rolls in off the coast, unrelated to the reef of limes at the bottom of glass number four.
And here’s the affectionate part, because there’s always one: she’s trying, harder than almost anyone. Underneath the pseudoscience is someone who genuinely wants to feel good in a culture that reprices “well” every fiscal quarter and sells her the update. She hydrates. She sleeps. She moves. The math is wrong, but the effort is real.
“It’s basically electrolytes.”
It isn’t clean. It’s just clear. And she’s allowed to just like it — that part was never dirty.
The whiskeys that prove it
- 79proof
For the wellness optimizer — Tito's soda, three limes ("basically electrolytes"), vodka unlogged.
